[ Challenge ]

Automating Complex Casualty Insurance Workflows

The casualty insurance industry relied heavily on manual processes for reviewing medical bills and managing associated payments and invoices. Accuro Solutions needed a technology partner to build two interconnected platforms from scratch: one to automate the bills review process, and another to handle the financial transactions that follow.

The challenge required deep technical capability across both frontend and backend, as well as strong business analysis to map complex insurance domain logic into reliable, scalable software.

Building the Solution

ARC Review: We built a single-page Angular application with complex forms, AG Grid-powered grids with custom cell editors, UI validation, dynamic cell loading, file uploading and downloading, email sending, and ECharts dashboards.

ARC Finance: We built both the backend and frontend. The Java-backed REST API uses JWT security filters and role-based access control. The backend runs as three standalone applications communicating via HTTPS and RabbitMQ, with Apache Camel cron jobs handling daily reports saved to AWS S3 and SFTP.

Both ARC platforms were delivered on schedule and moved into active daily use by internal teams and external insurance clients.

ARC Review live in production

Deployed in June 2021, ARC Review is now used daily by dozens of internal users and external customers for automated medical bill processing.

ARC Finance in 6 months

ARC Finance was built within 6 months and deployed in February 2022, automating payment and invoice workflows that previously required manual processing.

Scalable insurance automation

Both platforms run on Angular, Java, MariaDB, RabbitMQ, and AWS, designed for long-term scale and giving Accuro a modern foundation for the casualty insurance industry.
