Fragmented Membership Management Holding Back Growth

MASA Global faced a significant bottleneck: a fragmented and cumbersome user experience for managing memberships. Comparing and switching benefits plans, managing group memberships and dependents, and adjusting billing settings often required an in-person office visit or a difficult phone call, especially from overseas.

They had started work with their internal IT team, but given the very limited capacity of the internal team and the considerable scope of work, progress was much slower than management expected. They needed a partner to boost development by leveraging existing components like the ngx-admin product.

Building the Solution

Akveo helped MASA Global build a membership web portal and a mobile application where clients can view member service agreements, specific benefits, compare plans, manage dependents, submit claims, and access a virtual member card. The solution allows corporate clients to manage members of their organization's group.

To ensure absolute reliability for a system managing sensitive data, all business logic is thoroughly covered with automated unit and integration tests.

Frontend Acceleration: Utilizing Angular and Akveo's ngx-admin to rapidly build a robust, scalable web application frontend.

Cross-Platform Mobility: Leveraging Ionic for mobile app development to serve users seamlessly on the go from a single codebase.

Co-Development Model: Working in close cooperation with MASA's internal team using Kanban methodology for frequent, iterative deliveries to the staging environment.

Tech stack: Angular, ngx-admin (frontend); Java, Spring Framework (backend); Ionic, Appflow, Capacitor, Identity Vault (mobile); Microsoft SQL Server, H2 (database); AWS (cloud/CI/CD).
