Fragmented UI Across Products Driving Up Costs

Before contacting Akveo, Mitel Networks used different approaches and frameworks when building UI applications. As a result, some products looked noticeably different from others. The client wanted to establish a unified corporate style and chose Angular 2 as their main frontend stack.

The goal was to create a base framework used by most teams to optimize costs and bring a unified style guide across all products.

Building the Solution

Mitel provided Akveo with their style guide document. The task was to implement these style guides into Akveo's ng2-admin Angular 2 template while preserving existing animations.

Three deliverables were produced:

  • Angular 2 component kit based on Mitel's style guidelines: layout, sidebar, header, footer, form inputs, charts, tables, notifications, and more.
  • Documentation website with component descriptions and usage examples.
  • Demo application as a starting point for Mitel's internal teams.

Tech stack: Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
